a email I wrote...

This may sound strange but I kinda liked the wording I used in an email the other day. I felt like I actually put my thoughts into words. So I thought that I would share it with you guys. It's kinda a sad email, so don't expect the usual cheery hyperness. I am also posting a picture that I would like opinions on.

the email
a single tear  is worth a thousand feelings. But a single smile  is worth a thousand memories. on a lighter note, a single minute  of sleep  is worth a thousand seconds of stress. A single love  may last a lifetime, but a single heartbreak  can last a lifetime and a half. Love is hard to understand, and it creeps up on us when we are looking the other way or sleeping and suddenly our life is turned upside down as it goes on a steep back crawl roller coaster routine, and we close our eyes and look for something to rely on. Then we realize all we can do is hang on for the ride, and hope for the best. The heart plays tricks on us, and at time causes the single tear which at times turns to millions of tears over a single feeling. A single word, only two letters long, yet so powerful. No. This word leads to a question which consists of another word. A three letter word. Why? We never seem to know the answer, yet I read somewhere that everything will turn out right, and if it's not right yet, then it's not over yet. A single hug can transport so many feelings. love, friendship, comfort, joy, ecstasy. and so many others. I am sending a single hug your way. It is big. and long. and in it are so many feelings. understanding. comfort. a wish for strength. so many others that can't be put into words. So savour this hug, and I hope it brings you all you need right now. and know that I am thinking about you.

well, that's all for now! Hopefully my next post will be more cheerful.

My weekend :-)

Fence Making
Saturday, October 16, 2010
I woke up around 7 am [which for me is early] and went outside to feed my kitty. I still haven’t figured out a name for her… Oh well. After that I had breaky with mom and dad and got dressed etcetera. We finally hit the road and were on our way, and after several discussions upon directions, we arrived at our destination. I had completely forgotten that there was to be fence building that day, so when I saw a lot o people hanging around with hammers and nails and an auger I was a little surprised… I must say pleasantly though.  after saying hullo to everyone I asked Tina what I could do… apparently we were the ones to stand around and point fingers… yay! lol… I finally took Midnight for a jog around the block, thinking I would use up some time. Turns out it didn’t take me very long at all. After a lot of standing around and talking to people who should have been working I went inside [it was about 11:30] and found some pizza to put in the oven. Finally something productive to do! Haha. As soon as the first one was ready I started serving them… now that was a big hit! I guess most people forgot breaky… or they all had hollow legs… or… maybe, just maybe they had been working and were hungry :D. Whatever the case, they gobbled it down as fast as I could bake it and cut it. Forget plates, just set them on a tray and they will disappear in about five seconds! It was fun though. I also baked cookies and fried some ground beef up for the lasagna which would be our supper. While baking cookies I also babysat Andrew, Mike’s son. Cutest little guy EVER… and extremely well behaved. Seriously. The biggest nuisance that he was the whole afternoon was when he was playing on his little laptop, and he needed help spelling a word. Absolutely great kid. When the cookies were finished being made he asked for one… and then another…. and then another! His excuse for the third one was that he had two hands, therefore he needed two cookies. I made do by breaking the cookie in half… I guess that was good enough for the time being. He finally decided to go outside again, so I set to work entertaining him there. Which wasn’t hard, especially when the auger was at work.  I think that I was a bigger nuisance then he was, actually… I was taking pictures almost constantly. I think I took about a hundred in all… :D I think that one of the main highlights of the day was when I got to operate the auger… it’s a two man auger but it had three handles, so Mike had one, Keith had one, and I got the one with the throttle… :D… lotsa fun! When we had to lift it out when we hit a rock or something I think that my share was pure will/effort, and not muscle… :P. or maybe they just lifted extra so that it seemed like I was lifting… I don’t know. But it was still fun. I can definitely feel it now though… lol. I would do it again… it was a lot of fun. And sometimes you get hurt when you’re having fun, but in the end it’s all worth it. A while after that I went inside again and helped Tina make supper, which consisted of lasagna, Caesar salad, vegis and dip, garlic bread, and then for dessert there was apple pie and strawberry cheesecake. Mmmm. So good. I kind of messed up the lasagna though, because when it was done baking the guys weren’t quite finished cleaning up outside, so Tina got me to put the oven on ‘keep warm’. So I pressed the button and continued with what I was doing. When the time came to take the lasagna out of the oven for supper I found out that I was supposed to press end to shut the actual oven off and THEN press keep warm. So the whole time that it was supposed to be keeping warm it had actually still been cooking. I was so mad at myself! I thought for sure that I had ruined supper. Thankfully, once we tasted it, it was actually still very tasty. PHEW!!! But wait! I have an excuse! I had never used that button on that stove before! How was I supposed to know?! :P lol. Oh well. It turned out fine, and I’m sure that even if it hadn’t, the guys were probably so famished and tired that they wouldn’t have noticed :P. After supper everyone kinda just hung out and talked… a nice lazy evening after a long day! I made a few beds for those staying overnight and then migrated downstairs to watch Andrew play wii. Massages were also in order, and I think that they were appreciated.  My aunt Jacquie brought me home at about 11. I was tuckered out and full of great memories. I fell asleep and relived the day to wake up to sun streaming through my window. I stuck my head under my pillow for another five minutes before dragging myself out of bed to meet the new day. I really do wish that I could have stayed, but hey, life isn’t always what you want it to be. You never know. Maybe if I had stayed something bad would have happened, making me wish I hadn’t… highly doubtful, but it’s possible! I mean, maybe I would finally have broken a bone… or maybe I would have burnt some pizza… or maybe… idk. Whatever. Anyway! That was my Saturday! And it was great… how was everyone else’s?!

pictures, kitty cats, and more pictures!

Blog Post!

Some one who is under the name of Anonymous asked me to post some pictures of my “pretty dress and hair”.  Sadly I only have 2 or 3, but I will post them below \/

The other day I saw an adorable kitty in my backyard. We don’t have any pets though, so I was surprised because we also live way out in the country. I do love animals though so I opened the back door to try to coax it to me, but it ran off at the sound of the door. However, this morning as I was lying in bed I saw its’ shadow on my wall, it was walking past my window. So I ran outside and eventually saw it, curled up beside one of my windows. I crouched down and held out my hand to it and it meowed and then started walking towards me. It let me pet it and then rubbed against my legs. I got it to follow me to the deck and then I fed it. It seemed very famished. Which isn’t surprising, seeing as I could feel every single bone and rib when I pet it! I left it to fill it’s belly and went back inside for a box with a towel inside for it to curl up in. By tonight it even crawled into my lap and sniffed my nose. I must say, I fell in love at first sight. Right now it is probably snoring the night away in it’s box. My mother is ok with the fact that I am feeding it and stuff but she is making me post pictures in case it is lost. I’m kind of hoping no one claims it so that I can keep it :D But they will be posted below \/

What else is new? Hm. My mind has drawn a blank, so I will say nothings new… for now! Although I am single again… not overly important, but it’s new! :P

Well, have a good night!

A busy week!

Blog…

The past week has been one of the best EVER. J Mostly the best parts were Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
Tuesday & Wednesday
I went to FOCUS day. Before I went I was super nervous. All in all I shouldn’t have worried in the least… lol… I got up really early, had breaky and then Mom drove me to my best friend’s house. From there we went to Air, which is where FOCUS day was held. My best friend, Emily and her sister Leanne went as well as their mom, who helped out in the kitchen. In the morning we had a topic thingy and then we were supposed to have a workshop but half of them were supposed to be outside [sports etc.] so almost everyone just sat around and played games, however I was covered because my first workshop was photography so I got to stay inside. It was great and I learned a lot about photography. J After that we had lunch & free time. I did my assignment from my photography class, took a bunch of planned photos. [I’ll add them at the bottom.] It was still raining but the rain kind of helped make better pics, because the rain drops added a great aspect to most of my pictures. After that we had another topic and then another workshop. This one was soccer. It was still raining but I decided to play anyway, and it turned out to be a blast J. From soccer I went back to photography again and everyone submitted three of their pictures which were all shown at the end of the day in a slideshow. After photography we had supper and everyone was in a group, their group colour and number on their name tags, and whatever group was ready first got to eat first. That was when I met 4 amazing guys. After that we kind of all hung out for the rest of the night. We ate supper together, and then after we played dodgeball, sat together through the last topic… it was great fun :D After about 8:00pm everyone started leaving and I went home with Emily and slept over there and the next morning I baked brownies and some other kind of square for them as a thank-you. And because I really had nothing else to do… :P Around 1:00 my mom picked me up again and we went home.

Thursday
Basically I went shopping and got a hair cut… doesn’t seem very exciting, eh? Well shopping was fun cuz I got jewelry and SHOES! J lol… And the haircut was exciting because I got to see my hairdresser, who is amazing :D. And I hadn’t seen her in like FOREVER. Anyway… :P
Saturday
It was my grandparent’s 50th wedding anniversary celebration. Lot’s of fun! At 8:45am I went to my hairdresser’s again to get an up-do J it was absolutely gorgeous! I was not in any way disappointed. Not that I expected to be… lol. I came back home after that and did some laundry and ironing until about 12:00. Then I went to the church where the open house and dinner were being held. We were supposed to have family pictures at 1:00 at a really neat old museum school but it was raining again so we had them done inside the church. Anyway. They still went well. After that from 3-5 there was an open house, and a TON of people came in. It was pretty crazy, a constant flow of people. We had supper around 6:00. It was delicious. We had a variety of buns and two salads, a spinach salad with nuts, dried cranberries, and some kind of poppy seed dressing and a ceasar salad. Both which were delicious. Then a butternut squash soup with a garnish of parsley and sour cream. After that came the main course which consisted of roast beef and/or chicken with cheese and ham inside [the name has slipped my mind] mashed potatoes, various vegetables, and more buns. For desert my cousin [who is a baker, specializing in cakes] made a replica of their original wedding cake. It was all delicious. After that everyone sat around and visited and had wine and some food from a side table of various delicacies. All in all it was fantastic, I got to see and talk to a lot of people I haven’t seen in ages, and my grandparents especially because they live six hours north of here, in a little town called Temagami. They own and operate a camp up there called Lowell Lake Lodge. It’s a great place J But since they live way up there we don’t get to see them as often as we would otherwise. Although we probably see them more then the rest of the family because we go up so much.

Anyway! J that was my week! J I hope you all had just as good of one.

Later!
